The soup is thought to be a blending of Chinese and Malaysian or Javanese cuisines, either through the merging of cultures or intermarriage.   1. First to make prawn stock. In a pot, add oil and prawn shells. Cook for about 5 mins.
  2. Add 1.5 litre chicken stock enough in the pot.
  3. Add 2 chicken thighs in the pot. Leave it for 25 mins.
  4. Remove the foamy part on the top. remove the chicken thighs and prawns shell and save the stock.
  5. Shred the chicken and set aside.
  6. In a large pot, add oil and paste in.
  7. Add coconut cream & stock. leave it simmer for about 15 mins. Salt to taste.
  8. Add tofu, fishballs, prawn meats
  9. Add bean sprout, shredded chicken, egg, coriander on top.
  10. Optionally, Lime or sambal on the side for garnish.
